From West to East: Six Destinations for 2026
The season kicks off in the canton of Ticino with the well-established Tamaro Trophy. Thanks to its hors-catégorie status and its inclusion in the UCI Junior Series, the race on Monte Ceneri once again offers the opportunity to earn a large number of UCI points.
On Easter Saturday, the GP Osterhas will take place for the second time as part of the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup. After a successful premiere last season, the collaboration between the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup and RRC Amt will be further strengthened this year. For multidisciplinary athletes (“policyclide athletes”), the GP Osterhas provides a special opportunity to improve their starting positions for upcoming bike races, based on UCI regulations that allow starting further at the front. The GP Osterhas will continue to have no impact on the overall Cup ranking.
On May 9, 2026, the focus shifts to the next generation: in Moléson-sur-Gruyères, the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup Kids Champions Event will take place — a format that will be further expanded in the coming years.
Savognin will remain an integral part of the racing calendar in 2026. The destination in the canton of Graubünden will host a UCI Junior Series race as well as a C1 event.
A special highlight awaits the Swiss cross-country community in Leysin: after 2022, the XCC and XCO Swiss Championships will once again be held in the Vaud mountain village. Anyone who has raced in Leysin before knows: riders can look forward to a technically demanding course.
The season concludes — as in 2025 — with the HC race in Gränichen in the canton of Aargau. Important UCI points will once again be up for grabs at the finale (Elite on Saturday).
“We are looking forward to a varied and thrilling 2026 season. With the Swiss Championships, two hors-catégorie races, two UCI Junior Series races, and destinations in all regions of Switzerland, both the sporting relevance and the attractiveness of the calendar are ensured.” — Dimitri Isler, Project Manager, Škoda Swiss Bike Cup
