As in the previous year, Aline Seitz proved unbeatable at the GP Osterhas. She claimed victory ahead of Mara Winter and Short Track World Champion Alessandra Keller. In the men’s race, Germany’s Jonas Schmeiser took the win.

For the second time since 2025, the traditional GP Osterhas was held as part of the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup. Just like last year, the winner of the women’s elite race was Aline Seitz (HigherDOSE | Renova / RC Gränichen). The former mountain biker and current track specialist secured victory in a thrilling points race that remained open until the very end. She edged out the young Swiss rider Mara Winter (NEXETIS) in a close duel. “I came to GP Osterhas spontaneously because I really like the format and wanted to defend my title from last year,” said Seitz. “The race also helps me prepare for the Track World Cup in Malaysia. I’m very happy with how it went today.” Alessandra Keller (Thömus Maxon) finished third behind Seitz and Winter. For Keller, it was her first race since winning the prestigious Cape Epic just two weeks ago.

Vogel third in international podium finish

In the men’s race over 100 laps, Jonas Schmeiser (RSC Auto Brosch Kempten) came out on top. New Zealand’s Christian Rush (ARBÖ KärntenSport Feld am See) finished second. Swiss rider Alex Vogel, the reigning Scratch European Champion, secured third place. “I’ve raced here many times and it’s always great fun – even though the races are extremely tough,” said Vogel. Local rider Cédric Graf (Team Q36.5-Amacx) also delivered a strong performance, finishing seventh.

Flückiger wins on home soil

Swiss riders also impressed in the junior categories. In the U19 race, Dennis Flückiger (RRCAmt / Team Koach) dominated on home soil, finishing clearly ahead of fellow Swiss riders Andri Steinmann (KA BOOM – Raceteam / RMC Gossau) and Diego Capelli (Montreux-Rennaz Cyclisme). In the U17 category, Germany’s Amon Rothe (SC Furtwangen) claimed a convincing victory. The U15 race was won by Fynn Stebler (RV Wetzikon). In the women’s FB category, France’s Dorine Monnier (Lyon Sprint Évolution) secured a clear win ahead of Vivien Greuter and Anna Graf (Alpiq Thömus – Young).

The Škoda Swiss Bike Cup continues on 9 May in the picturesque Moléson-sur-Gruyères, with the first event dedicated exclusively to the Kids series.
